For my last week in Australia I flew up to the Gold Coast to catch up with a good friend of mine, Sam, who I have grown up with over the years.
Of course, while I was on the Gold Coast it was some of the worst weather they have had with huge downpours of rain and winds to go with.
This didn’t stop Sam and I going to a football match at Metricon Stadium between the Gold Coast Suns and Port Adelaide. It was such a close game which Port ended up winning. Cool way to spend an afternoon though.
Charlotte (Sam’s girlfriend) and I went out for coffee and breakfast, whilst Sam was working, at Lark Cafe which was delicious and oh so healthy!!
I then went for a big walk around Burleigh Heads which was beautiful.!
I spent my days chilling out on the beach, catching up with my mates (cooking a couple of dinners) and more yummy brekkies at Lark. I was lucky to have a really nice day on my last day there and spent it out in the sun and visited another friend, Majan, at Broadbeach markets. I then walked from Broadbeach all the way to Main Beach to meet up with Sam who had just gone out for a surf..
Next up was my flight to Sydney where, of course, it was raining.
I met up with my mate, Bodene, after he finished training and cooked a simple dinner for us both.
As the weather was so bad outside we spent the day watching movies until I drove to the shops and picked up the ingredients to cook a healthy dinner for us.
On my final day in Australia I caught up with another good friend, Emma, for a coffee and then went for a nice run along the Paramatta River. I used the gym at my mates place for a final workout (I was about to sit on my ass for a 10-hour flight!) whilst he was at training and packed up my things.
Final coffee and yummy Mooberry frozen yoghurt before it was time to head to the airport…
See you when I see you Australia..!!
